Appeal to Find 2 NZEF Battalion Group Members

The NZ Army is appealing for 2 nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force (NZEF) Infantry Battalion members from both the 2 nd and 3 rd Divisions to come forward as representatives of their Battalions to be presented with commemorative banners recognising the service of their units.
Eighteen NZ Army Battalions that served in WWII are to be presented with a commemorative banner in a special ceremony at Defence House.
The banners, similar to British legion flags, serve as a symbol of the sacrifice whilst serving for King and Country and will provide something for each unit to affiliate to as they are handed from generation to generation.
