Law Commission Review
On 1 June 2010, the Law Commission released
its report on the review of the War Pensions Act
1954. This is the most comprehensive review of
the approach to the provision of support to veterans undertaken since the War Pensions Act was enacted.
The Commissionhas consulted widely and produced
a thorough report with 170 recommendations. The
Government will be considering those carefully and I
will be keeping veterans informed of progress.
