Robert Todman, Case Manager, VANZ
Rob Todman began working as a VANZ Case Manger in Wellington in November last year. Having served with Royal Air Force for 17 years before immigrating to New Zealand about seven years ago, he is technically a “veteran” himself. Rob’s previous jobs include working at the New Zealand Customs service and at prisons both here and overseas.
Rob currently has about 180 veterans on his ‘books’, but expects this number to grow over time (other case managers have up to 300 clients). Some of his work involves travelling to various RSAs around New Zealand to speak about what Case Managers have to offer veterans.
Rob says he really enjoys meeting veterans face-to-face and being able to answer their queries in person. He says he finds his work at VANZ rewarding because he likes helping people.
