Ways to navigate
Navigate based on what you want
Most people are looking for one of these things:
- To see if they're eligible for support.
- To apply for support.
- To commemorate or remember a person or a service.
The header at the top of the page has a section for each of these:
These pages show all of the information on the topic, regardless of if you're a veteran, a family member, or a service provider.
Navigate based on who you are
Another way to navigate is by filtering information that only applies to specific people.
Different types of users include:
- People currently serving
- Ex-serving
- Family and whānau
- Non-military personnel with Qualifying Service
- Service providers
These pages provide only information that is relevant to the user type.
Navigate by search
You can use the search bar in the header of the page.
This can be the quickest way to find something if you know exactly what you're looking for.
In some cases, though, the search bar may not be the best option. This is because:
- Unless you spell something exactly as it appears on our site, it may not show up (for example, Policies and not Policy)
- You may not know the terms that we use to describe what you're looking for.

News and events
We have a page dedicated to the latest news in the veteran community.
We also feature recent news in the three featured articles on our homepage.
News articles are specific to the time they are posted. They may become outdated by newer information. Check the publishing date of an article to see how recent it is.
