Veterans invited to join the NZDF Movember Challenge

Movember 2025

The NZDF Movember Challenge is open to everyone connected to Defence, including serving members, reservists, civilians, veterans, and whānau.

It’s about more than growing a moustache. It’s about strengthening our connections, checking in with each other, and starting real kōrero about men’s health; mental, physical, and emotional.

Whether you grow, move, donate, or simply reach out to a mate, you’re part of it. Together we’re building a culture where looking after our people is just what we do.

Get involved

Whether you grow a mo, host a mo-ment, or mo your own way, you can support Movember.

"I’m excited to kick off this year’s campaign and share why it’s an important cause for us. Movember is more than just growing moustaches — it’s about raising awareness and taking action on men’s health, particularly in areas like mental health, suicide prevention, and cancers affecting men. In Defence, we know the value of looking out for each other, and Movember is a chance for us to do just that. It’s great that we can all come together to make a difference, and that includes our Mo-sisters who play a vital role in our lives as well. Whilst Movember is focused on our tāne, we recognise that health and well-being are issues for all of us, regardless of gender. Movember is a great opportunity for connection and looking out for your mates. Let’s grow, move, host, or mo your own way and have fun doing it!"
