Change to the list of Statements of Principles, March 2021

On 5 March 2021 changes were made to the list of Australian Statements of Principles that apply in New Zealand. The Statements of Principles are a tool to determine if an injury, illness or death is service-related.

Statements of Principles

The Veterans' Support Amendment Regulations 2021 brought into force 4 new and 18 replacement Statements of Principles. These Statements of Principles cover:

  • non-aneurysmal aortic atherosclerotic disease
  • carotid artery disease
  • renal artery atherosclerotic disease
  • aplastic anaemia
  • pure red cell aplasia
  • chloracne
  • chronic pancreatitis
  • malignant neoplasm of the bone and articular cartilage
  • coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-2019)
  • diabetes mellitus
  • retinal vascular occlusion
