This event is an opportunity for veterans to meet with Veterans’ Affairs and other support organisations to discuss entitlements and other support for them and for their family and whānau.
This forum is being held in Barber Hall at the Central Energy Trust Arena on Waldegrave Street, Palmerston North.
Online registrations close at 5pm Friday 23 June. However, you don’t have to register online, you can just turn up.
If you register online, we'll give you a reminder before the event, and you can book an appointment to see a case manager.
Who can come
It is free to attend for both you and your whānau.
Whether you are still serving or have just left service, and even if you are feeling OK and don’t require support, come along and learn what is available for you and your family and whānau.
What to expect
The event will have a relaxed atmosphere where you can sit down and catch up with others, and learn about support services from Veterans' Affairs as well as from other support organisations.
Tea, coffee and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

What to do on the day

Step 1 Find a park
Enter the car park from Waldegrave Street.
Parking at 62 Waldegrave Street (in front of the venue) will be free for the event.

Step 2 Enter the building
Enter the Barber Hall. We'll have Veterans' Affairs signs to show you where to come in.
One of our staff will greet you at the entrance and then guide you to the next area.

Step 3 Check in with our staff inside
Inside, another member of our staff will ask if you registered online at Eventbrite or if you are a "walk-in".
They will then ask for your name. You can show them your digital ticket if you have one.
The Veterans' Affairs stall can help with questions you may have.
Case management appointments
When you register, you can also make an appointment to meet with a member of the Veterans’ Affairs case management team.
There are limited appointments. These will either be in person or on Zoom with a Case Manager back in Wellington.
When you register, you can select an appointment time from the available slots.
If you would like to bring a support person, just book a single appointment.

Masks aren’t mandatory, but please feel free to wear one if you like, and hand sanitiser will be available throughout the venue.
