Australian-based NZ veterans may have receive a duplicate payment

There has been a bank error in the delivery of the veteran payments to Australian-based NZ veterans. On Monday night, a Westpac bank error duplicated a payment to Australian-based Veterans.

Veterans’ Affairs understands that Westpac is currently in the process of requesting the return of the duplicate payment from the relevant banks. Unfortunately, we do not know when this will occur or when it will be competed. If you have received a duplicate payment you don’t have to do anything further.

We would like to apologise to all the veterans who received a duplicate payment, we are very sorry that this has occurred, and we hope that it hasn’t caused you any inconvenience.
