Veteran Support Agency Fund

Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand is pleased to invite applications for the Veteran Support Agency Fund, which provides funding to support the wellbeing of New Zealand veterans and their whānau.

A portion of this funding is available on a contestable basis, with $150,000 available for initiatives that improve the mental and physical wellbeing of veterans impacted by their military service.

Funding can be used to support new initiatives or expand existing services, particularly where these respond to identified needs or gaps in support for veterans and their families.

Applying for funding

We are seeking applications from organisations with experience delivering services that support veterans and their whānau.

Applications will be assessed against the following criteria:

  • Effectiveness in improving wellbeing
  • Depth and breadth of impact
  • Responsiveness to identified needs
  • Use of recognised effective approaches

The funded initiative must be delivered within the next financial year (to 30 June 2027), and successful applicants will be required to provide a report on outcomes and use of funds.
